James was shocked when Kira requested that they open their marriage to a Polyamorous lifestyle.

He was deeply hurt that she basically stated that he no longer satisfied her anymore.

Saying that he did not have enough experience before they were married.

James figured that the lifestyle sounded like an open marriage and the thought of having sex with other women would be a good thing.

He did not understand the emotional attachments that go with this lifestyle or the problems that could cause.
