The kiss had intensified and Shahwar could feel his hands roaming all over her body, slowly her hands moved upward to his chest and she rested them there for support. Though it was not rough, her husband had always been gentle whenever he'd touch her but right now she was out of breath.
Rehaan sensed that she needed to take a breath and parted his lips from hers for a moment and took his shirt off throwing it away somewhere. He went back to resume what he had left unfinished and claimed her mouth again with his.
His hands went back to the zipper of her dress and before he could pull it down his phone started to ring. Ignoring it he continued kissing her and Shahwar's hands were at the sides of his face now. The phone rang again, and then again and she pulled away, "Answer it."
"No." He was almost panting.
"Rehaan. Answer it." She softly pressed her thumb over his cheek.
"I can't talk to anyone right now." It still kept on ringing and then he cursed before answering it.
"Ibaad you're fired. Now speak." Shahwar pressed both her hands over her mouth to stop her giggle. "You called me for this?" She saw him gritting his teeth, a rare sight. "Get lost." He disconnected the phone and threw it away.
"Don't fire him, he chooses nice dresses for me to wear." Shahwar brushed out the hair on his head to even them out.
"What?! What dresses?" He gaped at her with utter shock.
"You're the one to ask." She pouted.
"What?" He was ready to kill his secretary now, "Shahwar what are you saying?"
"You yourself told me on our reception day that he had chosen the dress that was sent for me to wear that day."
"That's singular sweetheart, he chose just one." His brows were held up.
"And the one that I wore at the party for your friends too. I loved that one more." Rehaan's annoyed expression turned into a smirk.
"That was me darling, your maalik chose that one." She suddenly moved her hands out of his hair as her eyes stared at him with questions.
"And the ones that were sent when we went to the hotel for your business associates meet-up?" She didn't want to mention the first time she'd met Beena there, it didn't matter anymore.
"Me." Rehaan came forward and pressed kisses over her neck, "He only chose the first one because the one I chose wasn't delivered on time."
It was almost impossible for her to respond right away, Rehaan continued kissing downwards from her neck to her chest till the skin was exposed and before his hands could lift the straps of her dress she finally spoke, "I want to say something."
He stopped at once and looked up, "Right of course, yes?" He felt stupid to have escalated everything too fast with her without even asking her.
She saw him distancing himself from her as he cleared his throat, was he nervous? No. He wasn't—but then recently he had been doing everything that he hadn't ever done and she realized it was because of her.
"What are you doing?" She said instead of what she wanted to.
"What? I don't know, I'm sorry-"
"Rehaan? Are we going to be like this now?
Will you always feel unsure and anxious about everything when it's about me?
" She slid forward and kissed his cheek, "I just wanted to say that I'm sorry I ran out on you that day and then returned the ring with such rejection, I am sorry Rehaan. I was just scared."
He pulled her into a hug, "Don't apologize. I don't ever want you to apologize for anything Shahwar. My own actions from the past were the cause of it all. You're never at fault jaan. Never."
She felt relieved a little and then looked up at him raising her head from his chest, "I love you. Can you stop stressing around me now? I'll always love you, Rehaan. I won't leave either. Even if things are bad, I won't leave unless—"
"There won't be an unless now. Ever." He bent down and kissed her softly, "I love you, so, so much. Shahwar? Do you know why I love you so much?"
"You never told me." She shook her head like a child and he chuckled.
"It's because I always knew I wasn't a man who could be loved by anyone, but then you, you my Shahwar, a person who could be loved by anyone in this world loved me like no one ever could, no one's ever loved Rehaan Kazmi before you.
And when you did, I don't think I was capable of ever going backwards on that moment.
" She smiled and that was all it took for him to pull her on his lap and kiss her again, her body was so delicate that he could never find the strength to even hold her with all his weight, his lips traveled down to her neck soon and her dress slid up from her thighs as she wrapped her legs around his waist. When he pulled her zipper down there was a knock on the door, "Shahwar!
What do you want for breakfast?" It was Meher.
"What the fuck is wrong with everyone today?" He muttered in complete distaste and Shahwar pushed her face into his chest with muffled laughter. "Why isn't she at work?" He was breathing so hard, their bodies had heated up way too much now to go back to normal.
"It's her off day." She squeezed her face further into his chest holding him tight.
"Shahwar! Is everything alright? Why aren't you answering?" Meher knocked harder and Rehaan groaned out loud.
"I'll talk to her." Shahwar finally lifted her face and looked up at his, her face was too flushed and she was still holding him in case she started to tremble.
Rehaan shoved her face back into his chest, "Meher, she's busy. Go."
Shahwar gasped and faced upwards with her widened eyes. "Rehaan!" She whispered yelled.
While Meher outside the room was standing in complete embarrassment not knowing what to respond with, "Uh, I got it, yes, I understand, I mean no, you can just do whatever—" Her voice became inaudible towards the end as she ran away from there.
"I feel like your share of shame was also distributed to me when God made you, apko yehi kyun bolna tha ussay!" She eyed him like she was mad at him, though she wasn't.
(Why did you have to say this to her!)
Without answering he kissed her and pulled her dress down effortlessly then slowly moved her back over the mattress, lying above her, "Ab mien kya bolungi Meher ko?" She complained when he pulled back to take a breath.
(Now what will I say to Meher?)
"You want to give her details?" He teased her further and then kissed her right on the middle of her chest.
"I don't." Came her honest reply with her adorable voice that sounded very upset.
"Meri jaan, stop being so cute I'm already losing my mind." He pressed his face into the crook of her neck and kissed her there while holding both her hands together.
"What will I say to her Rehaan?" Shahwar's words made him laugh and he looked at her. "Why are you laughing?" Her face turned sad then he kissed her nose, cheeks, forehead and kept on kissing her face till she smiled.
"I love you. I love my Shahwar so much." She pulled his face close and kissed him.
"Maalik loves me."
