Chapter 67

Victoria didn't say anything but walked to the door and looked outside through the door mirror. When she saw Henry, she immediately frowned.

She thought, "It's ten in the evening. Why is he here?"

The doorbell rang again. Victoria was afraid that Emma would be woken up, so she opened the door and went out.

Closing the door, she leaned against it and asked, "What's wrong?"

The lights in the corridor were bright, but Henry was too tall. His shadow directly enveloped her when he stood in front of Victoria. Henry was facing away from the light, and Victoria could not tell the emotions in his eyes for a moment.

However, Victoria smelled alcohol in the air, thinking, "Is he drunk? So, is he here to fool around?"

Thinking of Henry's previous warning, Victoria did not dare to be angry and just looked at him coldly.

But he suddenly reached out and pinched her chin.

Victoria's breathing paused, and she immediately struggled. "What are you doing?"

Suddenly, he leaned over and kissed Victoria.

Victoria was no match for Henry, and he pressed her against the door and kissed her thoroughly.

Then, Victoria struggled violently, and she slapped him in the face while twisting her body.

The slap was loud.

Henry paused and touched his cheek with his tongue. He sneered, "Victoria, how dare you hit me again?"

Victoria's breathing was rapid. Henry had pulled her shoulder straps down. Victoria straightened them and said, "To me now, you are just a stranger. Of course, I have to resist being treated like this by a stranger."

Henry propped himself on the door with one hand and wiped the corner of his lips, looking at her solemnly. "It won't be that soon. I will find a way to restore your memory as soon as possible."

Victoria didn't understand why he was so persistent in helping her recover her memory.

She couldn't understand him from the beginning.

However, all his methods were useless to her. After all, she didn't lose her memory at all.

Victoria said, "Whatever. It's late. I need to rest."

"Who is that little girl?" asked Henry in a deep voice.

Victoria said, "My friend's daughter."

"Send her away," said Henry coldly, as if giving an order.

Victoria tried to hold back but couldn't help herself in the end and said, "Are you insane? What's wrong with my friend's daughter being here with me? How does it bother you? Henry, can you please stop it? It's as if you are possessive of me and love me very much."

Her tone was mocking. Finished speaking, she pushed Henry away, opened the door, and went in.

Henry's expression turned terrible.

He thought, "Did she forget my warning at that time? But she is right about one thing. I did have a possessive desire for her. But loving her is impossible."

The irritating emotions running through his heart seemed to have received an answer. Henry stared at the door in front of him and smiled coldly.

The next day, Victoria got up and made a simple breakfast, then woke up Emma.

Her phone rang just then, and she answered, "Hello, Diana."

Diana's indifferent voice sounded. "The cooperation has been negotiated. The clothing brand under the Harrison Group assigned Sarah to do the modeling. Do you want to take it?"

Victoria paused, then said, "Yes. I won't mind if it's too much money."

Diana asked, "Are you really okay with working with her?"

Sarah was Henry's beloved, and Victoria had once deeply loved Henry. So, Diana was apprehensive about Victoria's condition.

"It's okay. It's just a job," said Victoria calmly.

"Okay. I'll finalize it then," responded Diana.

She thought, "It seems that Victoria has really let go of Henry . It's great."
