I turn on the lights to the offices and stroll into mine. Breakfast took a little longer than I thought it would, but Madison naked on her knees before me is worth being a little late. I shake my head as I turn on my computer and pull up my email.

She’s a distraction even when she doesn’t mean to be. I need to stiffen my resolve to keep my hands to myself during the workday. The elevator dings its arrival, and her heels click on the marble floor.

Her routine is familiar to me already. She goes to her desk first, then heads to the break room to start the coffee and unload the dishwasher. When she’s done, she returns to her desk.
