Eris and Denny come from different families, backgrounds, and lives, with nothing to suggest they will ever meet.

That changes when Denny rescues Eris from a brutal attack and carries her to safety in a white Transit.

Years of trauma, multiple injuries, and selective mutism make Eris slow to trust anyone.

Denny is not discouraged; even as polar opposites, she offers the stranger both her home and her heart.

As the days pass, the two begin to see that they may be less incompatible than they once believed.
